We were moving yarn around this past week and we paused for a moment to look at all of the yarns here!  We have quite the selection and we are thrilled to be able to pass this variety on to you!  We pride ourselves on the assortment of yarns and fibers that we carry and we hope that you are as excited and inspired as we are!  We have so much fun selecting the yarns that we carry and we are always excited about the potential projects that can be created!  This is why we love what we do!  Come check out just what we are talking about!  We will gladly show off our wares and enthusiastically make suggestions!
Gadget of the Week

We all try to share a few hints and tricks every now and then and this week's gadget allows me to do so....stitch markers are more valuable than you can imagine!  Clover Locking Stitch Markers serve multiple uses too!  Use them to separate stitches for pattern repeats such as in a big afghan, put one in the row that you bind off for armholes for easier measuring and you can even use these when you go to assemble your completed garment!  Stitch markers are an absolute necessity for everyone and yes, you will find yourself collecting them, but this week's gadget should be part of your must have accessories!

We love seeing your finished projects and showing them off!  Jan V. finished this awesome mitered square baby blanket using 220 Superwash!  Gorgeous!  Speaking of that yarn, we just got more colors in and they are beautiful! There was a very cute dog in the background, but unfortunately I had to crop it to fit!

K.A.L. Round Two!

I goofed...when I initially suggested the Log Cabin Knit-a-long, I said that the first person to be finished would win a prize...my bad.  What we really meant is that you may all participate in this knit-a-long at your own pace and on August 1, we will select a name from all of the participants.  You can start any time and we will gladly assist you with yarn selection and any other help you may need.  Take your time, tag your project in the Knit-a-Bitters group on ravelry.com.  It is an easy way to participate in a fun project and see what other people are using for yarn and colors!  We also invite you to come sit and work on this blanket at Knit-a-Bit any time you can! By the way, this blanket was done by our very own Carin R.! Awesome!
Finding a needle in a haystack...

We received an interesting email this week from a woman who works in Westfield and despite the fact that her sister insisted that there is indeed a knitting store in town, she had a difficult time finding us!  When she did find us, she sent us a photo of our door with the suggestion of including it on our website!  I am sharing it with those of you who have made the discovery and hope that you pass it on to people that  may have had difficulty finding Knit-a-Bit, to some, a needle in a haystack!  Thank you Marie!

Just a reminder....

Cheryl will be at Knit-a-Bit on Tuesday to teach her Flower Class Series....there are a number of projects that she has found with floral motifs and they are all adorable!  You can learn a number of techniques while creating these flower motif projects!

It's always nice to hear that people enjoy reading this newsletter!  Thank you for taking the time to hear what we have to say!  Pam WILL be at Knit-a-Bit for Monday Night Knitting!  No need to call ahead, just come in with a smile and your latest project from 8:00 - 10:00!  Hope that everyone enjoyed their Mother's Day holiday and we hope that you were given the opportunity to sit and knit or crochet!
