Winding Down and Gearing Up!

We had a blast during the Crawl Weekend and didn't take any down time as we geared up for the FALL/WINTER season!  Yes, it's true, we have already started to see what the next season will bring and we're not talking about the summer!  We actually spent most of Monday initiating the ordering process for cold weather yarns!

We should tell you that scarves and shawls are big for Fall 2012! A lot of fun novelty yarns that work up quickly and will provide instant gratification for both the creator and the recipient  Rest assured that the fun, ruffle yarns that we sold out of are back and we are fortunate to have gotten a jump start!   Keep your eyes peeled on the newsletter so you know exactly when we receive a big box of ruffle yarn in fun colors!  Even with some metallics!

 Coming soon.....we promise!

Divine Tools of the Trade....

We consider ourselves fortunate to be one of the few retailers carrying Signature Needles.  These hand crafted needles are truly divine and we just received some of the DPN's in small sizes!  It seems that projects are more heavenly when using these needles....why not treat yourself to a very special set of needles!  Personally, I may not have a closet full of designer shoes, but I do own a set of Signature Needles!
Yarn Spotlight
Shibui Silk Cloud

You will feel like you're on cloud nine when you knit with this divine yarn! To steal a quote from the company, "the glowing silk core of this laceweight yarn shines through a halo of translucent mohair, giving anything you make amazing stitch definition and drape."
This is 330 yards of bliss if you ask me!  It can be used as laceweight yarn or mixed with any number of yarns to create a heavier gauge.  Whatever you chose, you shouldn't deny yourself the pleasure of working with Silk Cloud!  Come see the rich colors we have not to mention the patterns directly from the company that only highlight the true beauty of this yarn!

Lucky Lady!

We want to congratulate Margaret!  She was the winner of the Garden State Yarn Crawl basket!   We met Margaret during the crawl and she was fortunate enough to win!  We are thrilled for her and loved meeting her!  We hope to see Margaret upon completion of the beautiful blanket she's knitting using Serena from Manos!  Enjoy all of the great stuff that you won!!!
