So, we have been thinking that we should change our hours a bit to appeal to all types of knitters and crocheters....we will be open from 5:00 p.m. to MIDNIGHT four days a week.....our night owls will be thrilled and Susan will be snoozing in the back room.....APRIL FOOLS! You didn't think I was going to let the day go by without being a bit of a smart aleck? That was fun!
On a more realistic note, most of us will be doing some celebrating of various holidays this coming week and we wish you the happiest...that being said, with both holidays occurring this weekend, we will be CLOSED on Saturday, April 7th and Easter Sunday, April 8th. We will resume regular hours the week of April 19th! |

We all tend to knit or crochet throughout the year and it never hurts to be prepared with gifts ahead of time! We feature a great worsted weight yarn this week that has awesome color ways and phenomenal pattern choices. Liberty Wool from Classic Elite is 122 yards in variegated colors that stripe....5 stitches to the inch on a 7....possibilities are endless! Hats, Scarves, Socks, Sweaters....I give you this week's Yarn Spotlight! By the way, I should mention that we get two new colors a month to tempt us even more!

Are you one of those knitters that knits for a time and then you put your yarns and needles aside for a while until something new or vintage sparks your interest? Is one of your favorite pass times searching Ravelry and the internet for new ideas, fibers and new techniques? If so then this week's featured book is just for you. The Knitter's Life list by Gwen Steege will give you that inspiration to try something new and different.
Consider this book your "Knitter's Bucket List" everything in this book is related in some way to knitting. There are eleven chapters in this book and each chapter is dedicated to a certain knit item. This book has a resource list of books, magazines, and websites to help you along your way. These resources will allow you to dream of projects you have never thought of trying. There are lists that you can highlight what you would like to try and an area where you can add to the list. This book offers up a little history of fibers and garments made from these fibers.
At the beginning of each chapter, you'll find a "life list" suggested by the topics covered in that chapter. They are roughly organized by the themes, such as Meet, Discover, Do/Try, Learn, Go, and experience. Gwen hopes these lists will inspire you to jot down more ideas for things you want to learn and explore, as well as places to go, books to read, and patterns to try, so that this book truly becomes your own Knitter's Life List.
Stop in this week and pick up your copy of The Knitter's Life List at 30% off this week and inspire yourself. Happy Knitting!
