Network Raising Funds for Tito Kayak

As of today, Alberto De Jesus (Tito Kayak) is in good health and spirits and totally committed to continuing this journey for the freedom of the patriot Oscar Lopez Rivera. Unfortunately, the Atlantic Ocean has conspired against this effort with its waves, currents and abuse have combined to damage the kayak that with so much love and pride were constructed in Venezuela.

The National Boricua Human Rights Network is raising money for Tito Kayak to repair his kayak or build a new one and we are asking all who support Oscar's freedom to contribute.

Send your donation to:

National Boricua Human Rights Network 2739 W. Division Street PASEO BORICUA Chicago, IL 60622

or by visiting our website, http://boricuahumanrights.org, and clicking on the "donate" button. Write a note "For Tito Kayak".

ASM Partners with PACHS and ASN To Create Summer Theatre Project at Batey

32 students will participate in a summer program at Batey Urbano. While much of it will be focused on developing theatre skills, it will also focus on the issues affecting the community. The thematic focus will be framed around BACCA's anti-underage drinking campaign, whose messages will help to shape the final theatrical performance the participants will put on for community residents. The high school students are engaged to think critically about their roles as youth in the Humboldt Park community and how they can combat underage drinking, drugs, gangs etc through the arts.
