Clay Cafe Ladies Night

Looking for a stress free night without the rest of your household, then come down to the Clay Cafe for Ladies Night.  Bring your favorite beverage and they will provide the hors d'oeuvres and the fun. Click here for RSVP details.  

 

Friday, October 21st, 11:30am - 1:30pm

The Christy House Tea Room

A unique ministry of St. Stephen's Church and a Friday tradition since 1976, the Christy House is open to the public on Fridays for lunch.  This Friday's menu includes: chicken and wild rice soup, carrot soup with fennel and thyme, roasted beet salad and date bread.  Click for reservations.

Haunted House @ Sewickley United Methodist Church

An annual tradition in Sewickley, the lower level of the church is transformed into a haunted house by church members.  Come if you dare!  Tickets are $5 if purchased at the Pumpkin Patch or $7 at the door.

Sewickley Academy Speaker Series - More to Live For (Film)

This film follows the story of three people struck with cancer and all dependent on a bone marrow transplant.  Seun Adebiyi, a winter Olympic hopeful and one of the three people in the film with be at the screening to talk to the audience after the film.  For more information click here.

St. James Farmer's Market

Support local farmers by buying fall vegetables and flowers.  Located in the St. James parking lot, this weekly farmer's market is still going strong despite the fall weather.

Andew Conte comes to Penguin Bookshop

The author of Breakaway, The Inside Story of the Pittsburgh Penguins Rebirth, is coming to Penguin.  This book brings the hockey fan into the action with behind the scenes intrigue from the front office a major league sports franchise.

Not-So-Scary Trick or Treat @ the YMCA

Bring your children to the Community Activity Center in costume for games, crafts, snacks, a dance party and a special guest from the Sewickley Police department who will teach the children the do's and don'ts of trick or treating.  Call the Y to RSVP.  Click here for more details.

Fall Event @ Mary Roberts Reinhart Park

Come to Glen Osborne for this free event.  There will be pumpkin painting, 'smores around the firepit and and storytelling.  A great way to spend some time outdoors.

 

Saturday, October 22nd, 7:30pm - 9:30pm

The Great Pumpkin Spooktacular

Come to Fern Hollow Nature Center for a spooky good time.  Enjoy 'smores around the bonfire as spooky stories are read courtesy of the Sewickley Public Library, then watch the movie, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.  Fun for the whole family.  Click here for more information.

The Pumpkin Patch @ Sewickley United Methodist Church

Looking for some pumpkins to decorate your front porch? The Sewickley United Methodist Church received 1,600 pumpkins on October 1st. The Pumpkin Patch is open seven days a week through the month of October from 10:00am to dusk.
