Friday, August 26th

Fern Hollow Nature Center Slow Food Series

With the popularity of the Italian Garden Tour, Fern Hollow invites you to join them for an alfresco dinner from 6:00-8:00pm on their patio to celebrate and enjoy the garden's bounty.  Reservations required.

Saturday, August 20th

Farmer's Market 

St. James Church hosts this weekly Farmer's Market as an outreach to support local farmers. Now in its sixth year, the St. James Church Farmer's Market hosts merchants selling meats, locally grown fresh vegetables, local honey, andCuba Exhibition even freshly made pierogies. Held in the parking lot of St. James from  9:00am-1:00pm.  Look next week as we start to highlight individual vendors from the market.

 

Saturday, August 20th

Viva Cuba! Art Exhibition

International Images - 6:00-10:00pm

Celebrate Cuban artworks with Latin dancing, Cuban food and Mojitos.  International Images will be hosting an art exhibition on the second floor, while Latin ballroom sessions and dancing will be hosted on the first floor.  Traditional Cuban food and Mojitos will be available on the main gallery floor.  Exhibition starts at 6:00pm, dancing starts at 7:00pm.  Click here for more details.

The Naked Grape is Evolving...

This Saturday, August 27th will be the last time dinner and drinks as you know it will be served at The Naked Grape.  Why, you ask?  Are they leaving?  Going out of business?  Nothing could be further from the truth.  The Naked Grape is evolving to bring you a new and exciting wine experience.  Click here to read more about the new Naked Grape.

 

Pink&BlueGrand Openings

Last Saturday the Mayor cut the Grand Opening ribbon at Pink and Blue on Beaver Street.  The Mayor read a proclamation from the Borough that emphasized that the business district of Sewickley is an important ingredient in the quality of life in Sewickley.  He proclaimed August 20th as Pink and Blue Shop Day and encouraged the town to support the new store.

 

The next ribbon cutting will be September 1st for MakStudio which is reopening in a new location on Beaver Street with an exciting new twist you'll be sure to want to check out.  There are many more ribbon cuttings scheduled over the next month, including one for Vivo Kitchen which opened for business last night.
