It's Budget Time
To Ministry Leaders:
It's that time of the year again. Please submit your completed 2013 budgets to the Finance Committee on or prior to Sabbath, September 15, 2012 in order to adhere to the timeline below.
Ministry Leaders should meet with Ministry members to evaluate 2012 budget activities and develop objectives and budget for 2013 - August 11 to September 14.
(NOTE: 2013 Ministry Budget Requests totals should be equal to, or less than your ministry's Approved 2012 budget figure)
Ministry Leaders must submit completed 2013 Budget Request Forms to Finance Committee - September 15
Finance Committee will review of 2013 Ministry Budget Requests and interaction with Ministry Leaders - September 16- October 31
Finance Committee plans to submit 2013 Budget Recommendations to Church Board - November Church Board Meeting
Finance Committee plans a presentation of 2013 Church Budget Recommendations at a scheduled Church Business Meeting on behalf of Board
- December Church Business Meeting
Ministry Leaders are to implement their Church Approved 2013 Church Budgets - January 2013
2013 Budget Request Forms are attached for use by Ministry Leaders.

We are pleased to recognize the 120 nominees from the area churches who have exhibited an extraordinary dedication to their churches and communities. Join us as we pay honor to those men who have freely and generously given of their time and their talent. |

LEARN CPR/AED
 Emergencies occur at any place and time and everyone should be ready. Having the knowledge and learning the skill of CPR/AED for adults, children, and infants is of paramount importance. CPR/AED class for Family and Friends will be held at BOL Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday 30 Sept. 2012 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Pre-Register to receive your manual and other material for the class. The choir will resume rehearsals every Friday,

Discipleship Bible Study Program
begins September 1. 2012
Personal Bible study - it's so important, yet often hard to begin. As a large book, the Bible can be daunting, but it doesn't have to be.
The book "How to Study the Bible" provides practical advice and encouragement to begin a journey of discovery, a lifetime tour of the "living and active" Word of God (Hebrews 4:12).
The Breath of Life Seventh Day Adventist Church Discipleship Program will be conducting bi-weekly sessions for learning how to study God's word. The goals of these sessions are to provide participants with tips, techniques, and resources for a rewarding Bible study experience.
Sessions will begin September 1, 2012
Time: 3pm until 4pm
Where: In the Sanctuary
Sessions will be held every 1st and 3rd Sabbath.
Targeted audience: Youth and Adults
Material Used: The Bible (KJ, NKJV, NIV, and Clear Word), The book "How to Study the Bible", and Strong's Concordance

Breath Of Life Giving Plan
To meet the spiritual, service and facilities needs of the church, the BOL Church has implemented the following "Giving Plan" :
Tithe 10 % (God Directed) Combined Budget 5-10% (Recommended) Building Fund 2% (Recommended) Health & Wellness Center (As you are inspired) |

BOL Bible Reading Plan
It began on April 17. 2012 and will end in the Summer of 2015.
BOL church has joined The General Conference in the Bible Reading Plan to read the Bible in it's entirety one chapter at a time.
Each day set aside a few minutes to read one chapter in the Bible beginning with Genesis 1.
The pace of this plan will allow time to study, reflect, and absorb the messages. Be sure to invite the Holy Spirit to join you as you study.
So, even if you have read the Bible through you will still find new and deeper meaning that the Lord has in store especially for you.
