A letter from Arthur and Denise Blessitt

Greetings and Blessings,

I would like to introduce you to my dearest Friend 'Jesus'.

Before this world was created a plan was made by God who is Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit that Jesus would come to earth to die on the cross for our sins. After God created the earth and all life Adam and Eve the first humans were tempted by the Devil and they rebelled against the commands of God thus they 'sinned'. They saw that they were unclothed and made aprons of fig leaves to cover themselves and they hid from God. Then God made them garments of skin before He put them out of the Garden of Eden. This was a message for all times: God killed an animal! A life was given, blood was shed and a covering was made! This foretold that one day God the Father would offer up Jesus on the cross to die and shed His holy pure blood for our sins. For those who would believe in Jesus and accept His payment of shed blood to wash away their sins they would be forgiven, cleansed and saved!

The Holy Bible tells how God worked to call people back to God's way and then in the fulfillment of Divine prophesy the Holy Spirit put the holy seed of Jesus in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Thus Jesus was born holy, pure and God in the Flesh. Jesus lived with out sin even thought He was tempted by the Devil himself. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, cleansed the lepers, opened blind eyes, walked on the water, controlled the weather, turned water into wine, forgave sins & cast out demons.

Jesus loved people.

Oh how He loved sinners like all of us are. Jesus ate and drank with sinners. Jesus was sinner friendly. Not that He condoned sin but loved people and offered a new life and a new spiritual birth. Jesus offered fallen people hope, love, mercy and salvation. Jesus blessed the children, preached the good news of the Gospel to the poor, welcomed the suffering and hurting and rejected into His Family. Jesus came to serve us and called us to serve one another. His teachings were far beyond anything ever heard before or after. Great crowds often gathered to hear Jesus speak or to touch Him. Yet we see Jesus talking with people face to face and answering their questions and sharing His beautiful love with them. He was a people person.

Jesus taught us that God is love...yes to be totally honest and true Jesus also taught that there are only two ways; one leading to life and heaven and the other the way of the world leading to death and hell.

Jesus provided the way for us to know God and have forgiveness and peace.

Jesus was betrayed and put in several different trials and then was handed over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified. Jesus was beaten, slapped, spit on, hit, and beaten with a whip ripping the skin from His back. His beard was pulled out, a crown of thorns was pressed upon His head and then a heavy wooden cross was put on His shoulders. Jesus then carried the cross to outside the city of Jerusalem to a place called Calvary or the place of the skull where He was nailed to the cross. The cross was then lifted up and Jesus hung there for all to see. Even to those that crucified Jesus He said "Father forgive them for they do not know what they do". Jesus had been destined to die on the cross before the world was created that we could be in the Family of God. He said that no one could take His Life but He would lay His life down. On the cross Jesus cried out "It is finished". The price for our sins was paid as Jesus died on the cross. This was not defeat but victory because three days after Jesus had died and was buried in a tomb carved out of stone...Jesus arose! Alive! Living! Halleluiah! Many people saw Jesus over the next days, at least over five hundred people. Jesus taught them many things. Then a large group of His followers gathered just outside Jerusalem and Jesus ascended up into a cloud into heaven. Jesus is now at the right hand of the Throne of God ever living to make intercession for us. Jesus, every moment of every day is ready to hear your prayer and give you new life. Here is the amazing news!

Jesus is alive today! The Bible says that Jesus is the same 'yesterday, today and forever'! What He did Jesus He still does and will do. There is peace, love, forgiveness, salvation, hope, mercy, purpose, and joy in Jesus. We are to open our hearts to receive what Jesus did for us on the cross. Trusting only in Him He calls us to repent or turn from our own way to the way of following Jesus. There is nothing we can do to earn forgiveness and heaven. Believe that Jesus will give you new life. Please pray a simple prayer like this.

"Dear God, I need you. As best as I know how I invite and welcome Jesus into my life as my Savior and Lord. Have mercy on me a sinner and forgive me. I repent of my sins and desire to follow Jesus from this moment on. I put all my trust in what Jesus did for me. Fill me with Your love dear God. I forgive everyone. Write my name in Your book in heaven and fill me with the Holy Spirit. I am not ashamed of Jesus. Thank you Lord for saving me and now I am a follower of Jesus. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen"

Jesus heard your prayer and now you are saved and a follower of Jesus. Jesus is with you right now as the Holy Spirit of God is within you. Jesus will never leave you. Heaven is your home. Praise God. I encourage you to read the Holy Bible, get in a good church, be baptized, speak of Jesus as your Savior openly and share Jesus and the good news with others. I rejoice with you because in heaven there is rejoicing because you are now a newborn child of God. This is your spiritual birthday!
