The weekly rewards session for the Total Resource Campaign had a very special guest Thursday when Joe Tortorice, owner of Jason's Deli spoke to the group. The home grown company, now in 28 states and over two hundred locations, is quite a success story. Mr Tortorice shared insights into their success and lessons for the group to follow with their personal and professional lives.
Registration is now open for the various seminars and activities for business development week. We encourage everyone to look at the offerings at www.setedf.org. Help us make the week of April 24-28 great.
April 12 is the 40th Anniversary of Leadership Beaumont which is being celebrated with a luncheon at the Holiday Inn Beaumont. The steak and lobster dinner part of the annual Lobsterfest event is April 13 followed by the golf tournament on April 16. It is not like we needed anything else to plan and execute during this time period. Nonetheless, we were presented with a request to meet with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison on April 10 at Noon and decided we had to say yes. The appreciation lunch will be hosted by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce, and the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission. Senator Hutchison will leave office at the end of the year marking a remarkable political career in Washington. We look forward to the opportunity to say thank you. Download registration form HERE.
So, we are asking a lot of you during the second week of April. We need your support and participation.
