| PRINCE OF PEACE MESSAGE | | |
"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness! Matthew 25:21 NIV
Thank you for coming to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for worship, praise, prayer, Holy Communion, and Christian fellowship. May you be blessed and be a blessing to others!
We recently completed our annual stewardship campaign. Thank you to the members who have participated in the campaign and have already submitted your estimates of giving. Thank you to the wonderful stewardship team and staff who have faithfully worked for a successful campaign.
As the chair of the team, I have learned I can trust and count on the team and staff to do what they have said they were going to do.
As a stewardship team, we trust you, as members, to:
a. Prayerfully consider giving some of the time, talents, and financial resources God has first given you.
b. Prayerfully consider "stepping up" your financial commitment to POP.
c. Fill out an estimate of giving card so the council members will have financial information as they plan ministries for 2012.
We trust in God's promise to provide for us in uncertain times. We trust in His promise of forgiveness. He sees our brokenness and failures and is still a God of everlasting mercy for those who call upon His name. He reaches out and rescues us. Having faith in His promise changes how we live. We live with the joy of knowing that we are His children.
Thanks be to God and thanks to all of you, the members of Prince of Peace.
Alice Olson, Stewardship Chair

ADOPT-A-HOME | | |

The Women of Faith and Love have participated in The Adopt-A-Home Christmas program through Lutheran Social Service the last couple of years. At this time, they would like to open it up to others who might be interested in adopting a home.
Vicki Weber will be in the Welcome Center Sunday, December 4th to answer questions and distribute the names and wish lists for 12 residents who live in four different group homes in the area.
The residents have moderate to severe disabilities (please keep this in mind when purchasing gifts) and most of them have little or no family, so the gifts we bring are usually the only gifts they receive. The gifts you select and purchase should be wrapped and labeled with the individuals name; we would like at least 2 gifts per person. It is OK to include items not on the gift list but please no candy due to the strict dietary requirements.
In a couple of weeks we will meet at the church to gather the gifts for each house and then depart in 4 different directions to deliver them.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Vicki Weber at 612-859-9169 or vakweber@hotmail.com or Lynell in the office at 763-560-8958 or lynellk@princeofpeacehchurch.org. |

C.E.A.P. Donations Thank you POP for faithfully supporting CEAP! Did you know that...
- 12 members deliver our bin donations to CEAP, serving monthly?
- We are the only church staffing two Meals-on-Wheels routes?
- Several members serve CEAP on an "on call or need" basis?
Thank you for serving our community.
CEAP Snowbird Help We are in need of "snowbird subs" for the months of January-March. A "snowbird sub" would drive once or twice a month. The route takes approximately an hour beginning at 11:00 am on Thursday. If you can spare an hour or two each month and have reliable transportation we could use your help! Please call Ken Lundgren, 763-424-9654 or call the church office at
763-560-8958.

| PRINCE OF PEACE SENIOR CHOIR NEWS | | |
Join Senior Choir and release the Spirit's voice within you!
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:1-2
Senior Choir needs voices in every section, and it's likely that you're the person we've been waiting for! Won't you please consider joining Senior Choir on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m.? The people of Choir are some of the most compassionate, caring, and especially fun-loving people you will encounter. They've been waiting for you! Secondly, in many ways they're just like you - students, parents, grandparents, retirees in a wide range of occupations and walks of life. We have a number of members who travel periodically or have occasional work conflicts, so we have learned to be flexible, and we almost always need a large pool of members to cover every Sunday. Check out Senior Choir this Wednesday -- you will be welcome!
