| PASTOR'S MESSAGE | |
Refreshing water
It is mindboggling how many kinds of beverages we can find in a grocery store today-- sweetened, unsweetened, diet, energy drinks, coffees from various countries with or without added flavor, milk, soymilk, flavored liquids with various electrolytes added-we could go on and on. I like a variety of beverages, but I always go back to plain water. It is the best. We were made to live on water. Most of our body is made of it.
The writer of Psalm 1 speaks about the blessed person as one who is like a tree planted by a stream of fresh water, nourished and bearing fruit. . Jesus called himself "the water of life" and many who know him acknowledge the life that comes from knowing his love and friendship. Our wish for you as you worship with us is that you will find the words shared and the fellowship to be refreshing and life-giving. What would you share with your neighbor today?

| SYNOD ASSEMBLY DELEGATES | | |
Dear Prince of Peace Members:
In the spirit of informed communication I wanted to advise the membership that our proposed slate of Synod Assembly delegates will be asked to perform duties on behalf of Prince of Peace membership before they have been elected and installed by the membership at large. This unusual step is being taken this year because of time line changes to the 2012 Synod Assembly. I am asking our six delegate nominees to represent Prince of Peace at the conference assemblies being held on November 20, 2011. Normally these conferences are held after our nominees are elected by the membership at the Prince of Peace Annual Meeting in January. Having our nominees attend the conference assembly assures they are fully informed of topics and issues in preparation for the Synod Assembly which directly benefits our congregation.
The nominees attending the conference assembly will be:
Tom and Ann Barron
Darren Aune
Lynn Bohm
Ken and Cheryl Zeiszler
Prince of Peace members will officially elect the Synod Assembly delegates before they attend the Synod Assembly in February, 2012.
Please pray for them as as they represent our members at the conference assembly meeting.
Tom Heinrich, Council President |

| BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS | | |
Debra Ahlers from Memorial Blood said "please share my heartfelt gratitude with everyone who took time out of their busy day to give the gift of life! SO many lives will be impacted by their generosity!" We met out goal by 100%. Our drive goal of 32 units of whole blood was met. Because blood can be broken down into 3 components (plasma, platelets and red blood cells) the units you gave can be used to save 96 lives.
This speaks highly of you!
Our blood drive supports Memorial Blood Centers' mission of saving lives through blood donation. Many people from Prince of Peace have been directly affected by the need for blood donations so understand the importance of their donation.
We thank you one and all! Our next drive is April 16, 2012.

| PRINCE OF PEACE SENIOR CHOIR NEWS | | |
Join Senior Choir and release the Spirit's voice within you!
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:1-2
Senior Choir needs voices in every section, and it's likely that you're the person we've been waiting for! Won't you please consider joining Senior Choir on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m.? The people of Choir are some of the most compassionate, caring, and especially fun-loving people you will encounter. They've been waiting for you! Secondly, in many ways they're just like you - students, parents, grandparents, retirees in a wide range of occupations and walks of life. We have a number of members who travel periodically or have occasional work conflicts, so we have learned to be flexible, and we almost always need a large pool of members to cover every Sunday. Check out Senior Choir this Wednesday -- you will be welcome!
