the Minneapolis Synod Office.
The discernment period has concluded and we're ready to begin a new phase in the life and ministry of Prince of Peace. Please keep Pastor Chad and his family in prayer as they move from Pennsylvania to Minnesota and get settled here among their new church family. His first Sunday to preach at Prince of Peace is September 25th.

| I'M IN! | |  Catch the Excitement! We are embarking on a new era, one that will advance our ministry locally and globally. We are preparing to welcome Pastor Chad Brekke shortly, and we have a list of things to accomplish from the Congregational Council and the Special Gifts team before his arrival.
Our goal is to raise $36,000 by the end of September.

Welcome Jackie!!
We are so excited to have Jackie Winters joining the youth ministry team as our unpaid intern this year! As a sociology/anthropology major in her junior year at Hamline, Jackie is excited to do her internship with us and learn about the ins and outs of working in a church setting, as well as teaching and leading in Axis and Revolution! Say hi to her when you see her and welcome her aboard!

Women Of Faith And Love Bible Study (WOFAL)

Thirty-four of the Bible's books talk about angels in detail. Jesus referred to angels as real beings who were involved in every realm of human activity.

Unfortunately, the Bible cannot give us the answer to every choice we face. But the Bible does teach us how to make decisions, and this study will help you to learn those principles and apply them to your life. |

| FAREWELL FROM PASTOR MARK.. | | 
The time of closure of the interim period at Prince of Peace is swiftly approaching.
During the months that we served together we were able to work toward this point of beginning a new chapter of life for the congregation. It has been my joy to work closely with you and with the staff of this church. As you look forward to a bright and vibrant future, may God bless you all with renewed energy and heightened capacity of sharing your gifts of ministry with the community and the greater church.
My time as interim senior pastor will conclude August 30, 2011. I will continue my prayer support for the leadership, the staff and the congregation as a whole. God's blessings to you all.
