Pastor Luke Schmidt will preach on Sunday, March 20th, his last Sunday at Prince of Peace. Let's celebrate with Luke and his family. His seven years at Prince of Peace have touched many lives.

Let's wish him well in his next call and pray that he will be a blessing to all whom he serves. Please join us between services for refreshments in the Welcome Center.

EXPLORING THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT IN LENT

Midday Worship at 11 am; Evening Worship at 7 pm

Fruits of the SpiritWe can bear fruit in Lent and beyond. Our seasonal study continues with a spiritual check-up on March 23rd with the fruits of Joy and Peace. Each Wednesday we will explore the fruits and how effectively we use these gifts to the glory of our Savior. This is also a pivotal mentoring season for our Axis youth. As you mentor, you have opportunity to build upon many of the fruits of the spirit, enabling Christ to work through you. The opportunities for Lent are many. May we prepare our hearts and prepare the way of the Lord!

SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS
CLANCY'S CORNER

Sunday SchoolSunday School kids will continue their interactive learning with the Parable of the Sower, based on Matthew 3:4-7.

Thank you to all of the families who made my time here special. We've made many great memories together. Katie returns in April, but I'll be back again for Veggie Camp!

DIGGIN' IN: During Lent, many families are participating in the Axis mentoring program. During that time, from 6:30-7:00, bring your Sunday School age children to the Chapel for games, art, and discussions based on the fruits of the spirit. It's free and no registration is needed. Just come!

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: RESOURCE ROOM HELP AND WORKSHOP LEADERS NEEDED!

We continue to have a need for Workshop Leaders for 9 am and 10:30 am. A little help is needed in the Resource Room, too. We need someone to oversee the Resource Room to put away bins, make copies and get supplies for teachers when needed. Please let me know if you are interested. This is a great and rewarding way to support the children's ministry. Please contact Amanda for more information.

GREENE FAMILY APPEAL
greene familyThrivent Matching Funds Available
The Greene family still has hope for a miracle to heal Carrie from the cancer that she has battled for seven years. We are continuing to lift up the Greene family with prayers and financial support. Gifts are still being accepted to help pay for expenses to travel between home and the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, IL. Thrivent Financial has agreed to match donations, which adds to what we collect for this loving family. Make checks payable to Prince of Peace and put "Carrie Greene" in the memo line.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, 'I am going away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me you would have rejoiced, and because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here."  - Jesus
