It's been amazing to watch the shrinking snow mounds this week. For those who have been rather snow-bound, it's a sign of renewed hope that spring is coming with its new growth and fresh breezes. Meanwhile, we have much of God's work to do right here and right now.

In this newsletter there are updates regarding the Call Team, events for Youth and Children and a primary emphasis on reaching out. We have Pastor Lee Ann Pomrenke here this weekend as part of the Loaves & Fishes Kitchen remodel project at River of Life Lutheran Church. There are plenty of opportunities to connect to ministries!

Scroll down and have a look at the photos in this issue! May God bless you!

SENIOR PASTOR CALL TEAM Q & A FORUM

Sunday, February 27th, 11:40 am

call committeeThe Congregational Council and the Senior Pastor Call Team invite all members to attend an informational session on Sunday, February 27th at 11:40 am in the Worship Center.

The purpose of this meeting is to encourage members to ask questions and gain further understanding about our current senior pastor call process and how this process may or may not impact our current pastoral staff now and in the near future. Representatives from the Council and the Call Teamwill be available to address questions.

This meeting is being held after the worship services to allow for a single meeting where questions and answers can be openly shared and the information is available to all who wish to come.

If you'd like to submit questions prior to the meeting you can send them to Tom Heinrich or Bill Fredrick. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the meeting.

LOAVES AND FISHES KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECT

Kitchen Remodel at River of Life Lutheran Church
needed for meal ministry

River of Life serve
Philip McDougle gets ready to serve dinner.

It's time to remodel the kitchen!

That's what the Health Inspectors told River of Life Lutheran Church, where Loaves and Fishes feeds the hungry every week night. The estimated cost of the project is $185,000-225,000. Members at Prince of Peace have been involved in this outreach ministry for 18 years, and we've set a goal to raise $7,000 towards a matching fund grant to support the kitchen remodel.

This Sunday, Pastor Lee Ann Pomrenke from River of Life will be our guest, and next Sunday, you can sample the "famous" Prince of Peace goulash that we serve our friends through Loaves & Fishes. We pray you will consider supporting this ministry with a donation. Make checks payable to "Prince of Peace" and put "Kitchen Remodel" in the memo line.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we have been blessed with these past few days!

It sure feels good to wear my sunglasses again. The Valentine banquet last Friday was a treat. We had a wonderful turnout and it looked as though everyone was having fun! Click here for more photos.

Thank you to all who attended and all the volunteers who made the evening special.

SUNDAY SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: MUSIC LEADER and WORKSHOP LEADERS NEEDED!

We continue to have a need for workshop leaders for 9 am and 10:30 am. A little help is needed in the Resource Room, too. We need someone to oversee the Resource Room to put away bins, make copies and get supplies for teachers when needed. Please let me know if you are interested. If you have children in Sunday School, this is a wonderful and rewarding way to support the children's ministry. Please contact Amanda for more information.

It is amazing what can happen when you challenge yourself to "reach out." When we reach out, we allow the Holy Spirit to work within us. We walk by faith, with steadfast determination to help others, and with courage to make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. What an awesome blessing and what an awesome responsibility! God has entrusted us to feed the hungry through Loaves & Fishes at River of Life and in partnership with 363 Days. In March we'll lend a hand to the CEAP Food Drive. May the fruits of our labor glorify our Father in Heaven!
