What a crazy spring with the temperatures so up and down who knew how to feel. One day summer like and the next winter. Last week was definitely a scare for the winery owners and vineyard managers but there appears to be no bud damage. It's the vines themselves that may have been effected. Think of them as a possible freezing water pipe, when they thaw, watch out for the burst. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed.
With spring in the air we're happy to say that we are celebrating our 20th annual Wine & Herb Festival. This year we'll be offering our ever popular herbs plus a strawberry plant.
See you on the trail.

Thirsty Owl Wine Co. Has Gone GreenWe're reducing our carbon footprint... Thirsty Owl Wine Company's newly installed solar panels went fully operational on March 21. We are now able to take advantage of these beautiful early spring days to power both our winery & tasting room, while also feeding energy back into the grid.
Solar panels installed on our Tasting Room, facing south, with the "Thirsty Owl Mobile" parked in the lot. More panels. These are installed on "The Barn", facing west. __ The Inverter Stations. This is where the "magic happens." Day One on solar, we produced 270 kw of power...nearly 30% more than we used.___________________________________________________
