Assignment Hollywood!
On Sunday (9/23) twenty-five students and parents went to Paramount Studios in Hollywood as a paid audience group to watch a taping of Nickelodeon's "Figure It Out" hosted by Jeff Sutphen. The kids were super excited, had great attitudes and showed true school spirit given we were ultimately unable to get in. Apparently the show's Producers brought in and gave priority to 111 of "their own" invitees that morning. Though very disappointing, the kids were very well behaved (even while waiting for an hour in almost 90 degree heat!) and the parents were very proud of everyone. On the bright side, Meadows will still be paid and a great adventure was had by all. The day ended with our carpool groups making a day of it by going to the Beverly Center, touring Hancock Park or hanging out at a friend's pool. We are all looking forward to our next adventure.
