The Super Stangs Need You!
| | The Super Stangs are our involved and supportive Meadows families. We are fortunate to have maintained programs, events and facilities despite the state cuts to education. It's easy to do your part and help support our Meadows community with these 5 steps: 1. Join the PTA. Last year the Meadows PTA spent approximately $400 per child to keep our programs and specialists in place. We ask that you join the PTA at $150 per child/$250 per family. Make your minimum contribution by Oct. 31 and receive a FREE Meadows t-shirt for your child(ren). 2. Volunteer at Meadows 3. Make your MBEF Pledge. Visit http://www.mbef.org 4. Participate in our SCRIP/eSCRIP or other community fundraising programs. 5. Attend a PTA meeting. Our next PTA meeting is Thursday, Oct. 13 in the Meadows cafeteria. Please join the Super Stangs and do your part to support our children! Information and forms are available on the Meadows website at www.meadowsschool.org. |
Grades of Green Update
| | Walk to School and Bring a Trash-Free Lunch
Trash Free Lunches are Tuesdays. Please talk with your kids about how important this is to our environment; every trash free lunch we have at Meadows decreases our trash output by 80-90% for that day. Email carol@teampaden.com to volunteer at lunchtime. Just an hour of your time a month can make a big difference to the amount of waste we contribute to landfills.
Walk to School Wednesdays are in full swing too. Look for the Grades of Green volunteers stamping hands and handing out bandana bracelets. Walking to school cuts down on carbon dioxide emissions from our cars, and we get some exercise too! Email maroun88@gmail.com to volunteer or learn more about the program.
