This is the time that a lot of us think more deeply about ourS.M.A.R.T. Goals and Objectives resolution for the upcoming New Year.  What would be better than a path to a new and healthy lifestyle? All of us know that it doesn't just happen.  We have to plan for it and create it. When we realize how much power there is in our thoughts and our mind, we will begin opening up doors to endless possibilities.

The reason lifestyle is so important is because how we live determines our choices and these choices decide how healthy we are and whether we're on the road to optimal health.

Ah, the office parties that got a little loud; the holiday get-together that ended in a scene; or the family dinner that ended in a brawl. With increased stress compounded by ample opportunity to partake in celebrations, the holidays may exacerbate tendencies to abuse alcohol and drugs. The season may trigger stresses and intensify family dynamics. 

 

It is likely that family members and friends may recognize an addiction problem before the chemically dependent person does.  At this time of year in particular, they may ask themselves such questions as "Is my loved one just trying to enjoy themselves or are they really an addict?" "Are they just looking for ways to relieve stress?" "Is it my place to say something?"  "Can anything even be done?" Special Offerings:  Flu Vaccinations 

As flu season is here, it's important to protect your health with a flu shot. We are now scheduling appointments for flu shots.    Influenza, known as the flu, is a contagious respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe symptoms.  Be protected; get your flu shot early.   The cost is $25 for this service.
