School Starts Thursday, September 6
All parents should be receiving a letter this week from their child's school with their child's schedule. If you do not receive a letter, please call your school office at the numbers below. All letters are written in English and Spanish.

DATES TO REMEMBER BEFORE SCHOOL BEGINS:
At Peekskill Middle School,
7th and 8th graders: You can pick up new shirts Monday-Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the PKMS Main Office until Thursday, August 30. Any student who has not pre-ordered a shirt will be helped on the first day of school.
6th Graders: Jump Start, an orientation for incoming 6th graders, will be held Wednesday, August 29, in the Peekskill Middle School Library, beginning at 8:30 a.m. At Peekskill High School, orientation for incoming 9th graders is Tuesday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Peekskill High School.
New faculty and staff will have an orientation on Tuesday, August 28 at Peekskill High School beginning at 8:00 a.m. |

Breakfast starts at 8:45 a.m. for both Kindergarten and 1st Grade

Peekskill High School Transformed
 Peekskill High School will welcome students on September 6 with many new changes. There is a new principal, Frederick Hutchinson. There is a new start time: 8:03 a.m., with students encouraged to be at the High School by 7:45 a.m. each morning. There is a new Master Schedule and additional academic intervention services available for students.
And, there is a new plaza area, a new cafeteria, a new technology center in the library, and a new Jason C. Paige Fitness Center. Since finishing touches are still being put in place, each of these areas will have "official" opening celebrations throughout the fall. |
