Wise Guy
Jenna and Snowy were highly competitive in the Adult division, winning a 3rd, three 4ths and a 6th with nice trips against 28 other entries and capping off the show with the NCHJA Adult Equitation Finals - he was "perfect in the jumping" said Jenna. Thom had no idea this pair had such a huge fan club. Jenna thinks that's because Snowy enjoys entertaining the crowd in his flat classes.

Contessa Noir
Kara was a star with Noir in the Pre-Children's division. Over both days, her total ribbon count was: one 1st, two 2nds, and five 3rds. She bested 29 other horses and riders to end up as division Champion. Kara mentioned how much fun she had not only with her horse but with everyone from the barn and that her goal for her next show is to find a more consistent pace over fences.

Classical Masterpiece
Emma and Marty were Champions and Reserve Champions of the Long Stirrup division. Thom used the word "awesome" to describe this pair; they won almost every O/F class they entered, ending the show with five blue ribbons, four 2nd's and a 5th. And, of course, two tri-colors.

Jump 4 Joy
The Short Stirrup division was tough at this show, with 15 very competitive horse/rider combinations. On the first day, Sam and Forte won both their Eq. on the flat and U/S classes, placing 6th in both O/F hunter rounds. The second day, they won the U/S, got 2nds in Eq on the flat and O/F and a 4th and 7th O/F in their Hunter rounds. Sam feels that she attained her goals for this show and added that she enjoyed working with Thom.

Character
Character was back in the show ring for the first time in almost a year and never lost a beat. Bryan showed in the Adults against 29 other horses and came away with lots of ribbons, including a second. This show was a wonderful preparation for the Duke Show; they are ready.

Dante's Inferno
Torey hasn't shown in a year or so but found her rhythm in time to win the Adult Hunter Medal. Torey is now the current leader in the NCHJA Adult Medal standings. It was a delight to see both Torey and Bryan be so competitive so quickly after some time off.
