Meet personalities who are leaders of the Israel Tikkun Olam initiatives
Illuminate Jewish sources that highlight the importance of the particular Tikkun Olam activity
Apply a similar initiative in local communities

Tikkun Olam Sessions:
What is Leket Israel? How do they impact society and how can we replicate their ideas in our community? Study the mitzvot of Leket, which divides resources available in Israel to those in need. Survey the Biblical commandments of leket, shikcha and peah, setting aside portions of produce for the poor, and analyze its use in Tanach and in modern day Israel. Meet an activist from the Leket Israel organization and examine the many needs that are met by the less fortunate because of this innovative program.
  Analyze how and why we are commanded to accept gerim, strangers or converts , into our society, reviewing the 36 times its mentioned in the Torah. Meet inspiring olim, immigrants, and activists from Shavei Israel, an organization dedicated to returning lost Jews to Judaism and to Israel, from places such as China, India, hidden Holocaust survivors, and more. Meet Ethiopian immigrants from Tasfachin, an organization dedicated to acclimating Ethiopian immigrants in the Israeli city of Yavneh. Discover the incredible obstacles overcome to become closer to Judaism and acculturate in Israel. Replicate providing essential tools to newcomers to successfully adapt to new surroundings.
What are the laws of relating to the blind? How are we limited by our disabilities? What is unique about Israel's Guide Dog Center? Broaden your understanding of people living with blindness by studying Biblical and Rabbinic sources that surround disability. Empathize with blindness through interactive activities and by meeting representatives from the Israel Guide Dog Center for the Blind.

 Demonstrate support and respect to Lone Soldiers who often lack a support network of communication and packages from home, after facing life threatening duties in the IDF. How can we assist them? Interact with founders and participating soldiers of Bait Cham, A Warm Home for Every Soldier, an organization which matches adoptive Israeli families with IDF Lone Soldiers. JETS assists your community to 'Adopt-A-Soldier' from overseas, lending support, spirit and some well deserved amenities to these brave soldiers.

JETS was founded in Spring, 2009, by a group of experienced educators residing in Israel. Our mission is to enhance Judaic Studies programming, with a focus on Israel education. JETS streams programs to Jewish schools and communities by means of combining educational resources available in Israel with our expertise in Jewish education. Communication is implemented through video conferencing, or online platforms accessible via a standard personal computer.
