 Ms. Semadar GoldsteinMs. Semadar Goldstein holds a Master's in Jewish Education and Administration from the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration, and a B.A. in Judaic Studies from Stern College. Prior to her aliyah in 1998, she taught in the Yeshiva of Flatbush in NY. Since 2000, she has applied her research on Differentiated Instruction and utilizing student empowered technology through various educational programs at The Lookstein Center. In 2004, she began via video conferencing and now trains incoming teachers for The Lookstein Center Distance Learning Program, in addition to her video conferencing sessions with three North American Jewish Day Schools. In 2009, Ms. Goldstein founded JETS, Jerusalem Educators Technology Solutions, and is its current Director. 
 
apples and honey Rabbi Dr. Perl has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in Intellectual History and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. He went on to complete a Master's and Doctorate at Harvard University in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. He received his Rabbinic Ordination from Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanon Theological Seminary, where he served as an instructor of Jewish History in Yeshiva College and was honored as Professor of the Year for 2005-2006. Rabbi Perl also served on the administration of YU's boys' high school, first as the Director of Admissions and then as the Associate Head of School. Before coming to YU, Rabbi Dr. Perl served as an instructor of Jewish Law at the Prozdor Hebrew High School in Newton, Massachusetts, and later as Head of the Jewish Law department. He was also an award winning Teaching Fellow at Harvard University. Rabbi Dr. Perl is in his third year as Dean of  Margolin Hebrew Academy, Feinstone Yeshiva of the South.
What is JconnecT? 
JconnecT is an online program for teens which offers two dynamic, live, weekly study sessions with an experienced teacher in Jerusalem for groups of Southern Jewish teens in grades 6-9.

Session II: Contemporary Jewish Issues as connected through current events that surround Jewish life in the US and Israel which includes Hebrew language, Israeli culture, and Jewish history.

These discussion-based sessions, as well as an optional online guided supplemental study and three annual in-person events to be held in centrally located Memphis, TN, will create a vibrant social, educational Southern Community of Jewish learning.
