Tachanun is not recited during the entire month of Nissan.
There is an ancient custom dating from Talmudic times to supply the poor with matzahs for Pesach. This custom is called Kimcha d'Pischa. The Kimcha d'Pischa fund is the means through which the poor are supplied with all their festival needs. Every Jew must contribute towards the fund in his city.
