2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Laws of Torah Reading for Purim

The v'atah kadosh is recited after the Megillah is read at night time.  If Purim is on Saturday night [as it is this year] one recited vi-hi no'am before the v'atah kadosh.

Haman was a descendant of Amalek.   Therefore, va-yavo Amalek (Shemos 17:8-16) is read from the Torah before the morning Megillah reading.

Tachanun and Lamenatzeach before u'Valetzion are omitted on Purim and Shushan Purim.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !

"The first and second Batei Mikdash illuminated the world with their light for a specific and limited period of time.   The third Bais HaMikdash, however, wihich will be rebuilt when Mashiach comes, will be in fulfillment of the possuk in our Parsha 'a light to burn constantly'.    Its light will never be extinguished!"

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!

(43)   Rabbi Naftali Amsterdam says, one should stand and be silent momentarily during the prayer.   And while standing there quietly, it is good to think in front of Whom you are standing and praying - in front of the King of Kings, the Holy One, Who is the source of all Blessings .
