2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Laws of Reading the Megillah

When one recites or listens to the blessing of she-hecheyanu before the morning Megillah reading, he should intend for it to apply to the other special mitzvahs of the day as well.   These mitzvahs include sending gifts of food to friends, eating the Purim feast, and gifts to the poor.   Sephardic Jews, who do not recite she-hecheyanu in the morning, should have this intention when reciting she-heceyanu at night.

The blessing harav es riveinu is recited after the Meillah is read during the daytime with a minyan.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !

"One can talk to a snowman all day, but he won't listen, because he is a cold as snow!   We must ensure that we do not allow ourselves to cool off - to slacken in our own mitzvah observance.".

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!

(41)   The Alter of Kelm says, the most advisable thing is to weigh beforehand in your mind how you will speak to HaShem .   Since this is difficult for us, we should try to do this for the first three brochos of shemoneh esray.
