Laws of the Four Parashiyos
1. A special section is read for maftir on the four Shabbotim from the Shabbos preceding Rosh Chodesh Adar until Rosh Chodesh Nissan. This special maftir is read instead of the usual one. These special sections discuss subjects related to these weeks. Two Torah scrolls are taken out on each of these four Shabbotim.
2. The weekly Torah portion is read from the first scroll and the special maftir is read from the second scroll. If Rosh Chodesh Adar or Rosh Chodesh Nissan is on one of these Shabbotim, three scrolls are taken out. The weekly portion is read from the first scroll, the portion for Rosh Chodesh is read from the second scroll and the special maftir (Parshas Shekalim) on Rosh Chodesh Adar is read from the third scroll.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !
In this week's parsha we have the laws of a Jewish slave.
"Six years symbolizes the six thousand years of the world's existence: 'Shall he serve' refers to our mission to learn Torah and perform the mitzvahs: 'In the seventh' refers to the seventh millennium, when he shall go free' - Mashiach will come and set the Jewish people free!".

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!
(31) The Sefer Haggahos Yesh Nochlin says,
every person, whether young or old, should get used to concentrating. One should not begin praying or saying any brocha immediately and suddenly: rather, he should accustom himself to being quiet and waiting a little first, and he should not allow for any improper thoughts to enter his mind. He should concentrate with eagerness to pray and say the brochas for the sake of Heaven, and motivate himself to concentrate on every word, especially when mentioning one of the Holy Names of HaShem.
