2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Laws of Davening Shemoneh Esray

Part 5:  THE PRAYER

5.  One should say the prayer audibly, loud enough for his ears to hear it, but not loud enough for others to hear it.

 6.   One may pray in any language that he understands, but it is best to pray in Hebrew because the words of the shemoneh esray themselvers have special effects in Heaven.   Therefore, even if one does not understand Hebrew he can pray in Hebrew.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !

"Sometimes a person might establish a specific amount of money that he gives to charity, and even as his wealth increases, the amount he gives remains the same.  But the Torah says ' the poor person with you' - telling us that as we become enriched, the poor should be enriched with us!".

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!

(27)   The sefer Derech Chaim says, one should prepare his heart to concentrate.  How does one do so?  Before he stands up to pray, he should sit a little while, idle and silent, and remove all thoughts from his mind.  He should then begin to think about the greatness of the Creator and about His wonders.
