2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Laws of Davening Shemoneh Esray

Part 3:  POSTURE

7.  One should not hold anything in his hand while praying, especially things that he would worry about dropping, because they will disturb his concentration.  One may also not hold a child during prayer.  However, one may hold a siddur since he needs it for his prayer.

 8.  Some are of the opinion that one should shake during shemoneh esray and some hold that one should not, so each person should do whatever helps his concentration more.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !

"If a person tells me that he has a severe headache and he cannot concentrate properly on his prayers, I tell him, 'Who told you to pray with your head?  You should be praying with your heart!'".

(Rabbi Menachem Mendelof Kotzk ZT"L -  Sefer Torah Tavlin)

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!

(20)   The Orchos Tzadikim says, be very careful about your speech and guard your tongue, and that will be a great aid to praying with concentration, because most distractions come from idle talk that has entered a person's heart.
