2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Part 1:  PLACE

1.  One should try to pray in a shule with a minyan.   If there is a minyan in a bais medrash then it's a bigger mitzvah to pray there.  Even when there is no minyan in the shule or bais medrash, or the minyan has already finished, one should still pray there.

 2.  One should have a set shule to pray in, and in that shule he should have a set seat.

A One Minute a Day Torah Thought !

"Just as in Egypt, where HaShem appointed two messengers to lead the Jews out of slavery, Moshe and Aahron, so too, will we have two emissaries by the final redemption, Mashiach ben Yosef and Mashiach ben Dovid.   Why?  one to take the Jews out of galus and one to take the galus out of the Jews!".

50 Suggestions for Concentrating during Prayer!

(9)   The Sefer Chasidim says, Pray with a melody that you find pleasant and sweet, and then you will pray with concentration, for it will draw your heart after the words.   When you are making a request, use a melody that prepares your heart to say it earnestly.  When you are praising G-d use a melody that makes you happy in order that your mouth will be filled with love and joy for the One Who sees your heart.
