2 Daily Halachas
from

Our Rabbis tell us - one who studies [at least two] Halachos daily is assured a portion in Olam Haba -  the world to come (Gemorah Megilla 28)

The Vilna Gaon also said that for every word of Torah one learns one gets 613 Mitzvahs.

Therefore, we are going to learn two daily Halachas every day from Sefer Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and other sources.

Laws of V'sein Tal Umatar

 1. We mentioned yesterday if one forgot to say "V'sein Tal Umatar" in the winter in the shemoneh esrei of the brocho of mevorach hashonim, we can say it in the brocha of shma koleinu after the words rekam al teshivenu.

2.  Even if we become aware of our error after we said baruch attah, as long as we have not uttered the Name (Adonai) we may say "V'sein Tal Umatar"

(Kitzur Shulchan Oruch)

A Torah Thought for Today

The Halacha is that the menorah should be placed near the left side of the door, indicating that lighting the menorah is a segulah (auspicious) for sustenance.  The left side is the side of wealth, as the possuk says "length of days is at its right: at its left is wealth and honor" (Mishlei 3:16).
