Laws of Chanukah
1. The menorah may not be placed higher than 20 cubits (about 30 feet) above the ground, which tells us that haughtiness and pride are deplorable qualities.
2. The laws of kindling an additional light each day, indicating the number of days that have passed, suggest that we should be careful to spend our days and years in a worthwhile manner - filling our time with Torah and Mitzvahs.
