 What's happening at the Coalition...

Ijustwant

Now Joey has Someone Who Cares!

The first time he came into foster care, Joey was 4 years old.  Now 15, Joey entered foster care in March for the 4th time.

On March 30th, our 30 Days to Family staffer received the case and met with Joey.  He was gentle but wistful, saying, "I just want to live with someone who cares."

With that, we hit the ground running.  On the 1st day, our 30 Days to Family staffer built the family tree from 4 to 13 relatives.  Soon it was up to 64!

The big break came on the 6th day when we found an aunt who was a licensed foster parent.  Once we told her that her nephew was in foster care again, she said, "I want him come to me right now!"  Click here to finish reading this amazing story!

How can you support our efforts to find forever families for youth in foster care? Lots of ways!

Shop at [RE]FRESH!

[RE]FRESH is open to the public Friday through Saturday.  We have some great things for your closet!  All proceeds benefit the Foster & Adoption Resource Center.

Donate Items to [RE]FRESH or the KidStore

For [RE]FRESH, we need donations of new and gently-used clothing for teens and twenties - things you would lend your best friend!  In addition to stylish clothing, we need repurposed accessories, purses, and backpacks.  We also need schools and groups to organize clothing drives!

For the KidStore, we need donations of summer clothing and new socks and underwear for children ages birth to 12 years.
