Junior Board Trivia Night Benefits Children in Foster Care!

On May 7th, Junior Board members and Coalition supporters gathered at Central Reform Congregation for a night of trivia and fun!  The annual event was a huge success and everyone had a great time!  Congratulations to the winning table and a BIG thanks to Committee Co-Chairs Sarah Phillips and Misty Watson, auction donors, and everyone who came out to support the kids we serve.  View pictures from that night on our Facebook Page.

Want to learn more about the Junior Board?  Please contact Debbie Genung at 314.367.8373.

Brighten the Summer

for Kids in Foster Care!

Please donate new or like-new toys and video games or new bath & body products!  Would you like to donate your new or like-new toys, bath & body products.  This is just one small way that you can help make a child's time in foster care as enjoyable as possible.  To donate, please contact Shelley at 314.367.8373 x2229.

Time for the Summer Switch-Over!

It's time to put the Summer clothing out at the KidStore in South City!  Many volunteers are needed in the morning and afternoon on Saturday, May 21st to put away Winter items and set out Summer clothing.  Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older.  To help, contact Shelley at 314.367.8373 x2229.

 Teach Foster Kids to Scrapbook!

Are you a scrapbooker?  Love to crop?  Please share your talents with our kids!  We're creating scrapbooks with foster and adopted children from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 4th in Crestwood and need volunteers to teach children how to lay out their scrapbook pages, crop photos, and create their books!  To help, please contact Shelley at 314.367.8373 x2229.

We also need new photo albums (the kind with slots for photos - not the cropping kind) to give as gifts to foster children.  To donate, please contact Jessi at 314.367.8373 x2235 or bring to 1750 S. Brentwood Blvd., Ste. 210, St. Louis, MO 63144.

Support Youth in Foster Care

Just by Shopping with eScrip

You don't need an eScrip card to help the Coalition through eScrip.  In addition to registering an eScrip card at your local Schnucks, register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards to begin helping children in foster care each and every time you make a purchase!  When you use any of these registered cards, the merchant makes a contribution that goes to the Coalition.  It's that simple and there's no cost to you.

  1. Visit www.escrip.com to securely register credit, debit, retail, and/or gift cards.  You can enter multiple cards to maximize your impact.  Enter our Group ID # 500004839 or search for the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition to ensure you're helping a cause you care about.

  2. Shop away like normal!  Each time you use your credit or debit card, a percentage will go toward helping our children.  There's no cost to you, and after you register, everything is complete!

Click here for more information on this and other programs that allow you to donate to the Coalition without spending a penny!  Please visit the Customer Service Desk of your Schnuck's store and ask for an eScrip Community Card.  Or, simply register your debit/credit cards here.  Contact Jessi at 314.367.8373 with questions or help with registering.  If you already use eScrip to help a cause you care about, please consider adding the Coalition as a charity you support.

More Ways You Can Help...

Laundry for a Cause!

Gently-worn clothing donations sometimes need cleaning.  If you are able to pick up a few loads of laundry to wash and return to our offices in Brentwood (Across from Whole Foods Market and REI), we would be truly grateful!  Please contact Shelley for more information at 314.367.8373 x2229.

Donate Items to the [RE]FRESH or the KidStore

For [RE]FRESH, we need donations of new and gently-used clothing for teens and twenties - things you would lend your best friend!  In addition to stylish clothing, we need repurposed accessories, purses, and backpacks.  We also need schools and groups to organize clothing drives!  Click here for a flyer detailing the different ways to help at [RE]FRESH.

For the KidStore, we need donations of summer clothing and new socks and underwear for children ages birth to 12 years.
