Dear ,
I want to kick off this month's issue with a quick reminder that Benefits Open Enrollment ends today - Friday, May 13. Please take this opportunity to review the full array of benefit options UK offers for you and your family. Visit the Open Enrollment web site now or see below for details.
I also want to encourage you to join me this weekend for the new Chandler Hospital Patient Care Pavilion Open House. Family and friends are welcome at this community event. This will be a great opportunity for us all to learn more about how this amazing facility - and our outstanding colleagues in UK HealthCare - will transform medicine in the Commonwealth in the years ahead.
This month, we also feature a health care transformation taking place on a more personal level. UK College of Dentistry employee Sean Conway is just one of the latest "success stories" from our on-campus Body Shop Fitness facility. With occasional guidance from our Health & Wellness team, Sean has already lost over 100 pounds. Get the full story below.
I want you to also know about a unique opportunity we have - for a limited time - to help fellow UK employees facing even more acute health challenges. Between now and the end of June, you may donate vacation leave time to the Staff Shared Leave Pool. This program provides much-needed leave time to employees who have exhausted their own leave because of health issues affecting themselves or their loved ones.
Finally, we want to let you know about some great training opportunities. Please take a minute to check out UK's free, self-paced e-training options for staff and faculty. With thousands of courses to choose from, there's literally something for everyone.
If you have questions about anything you read in this month's newsletter, please feel free to contact me by replying to this e-mail.
