Issue No. 19April 2011
Dear  ,

With UK's annual Open Enrollment just around the corner, now is the time for you to review your benefit options. During Open Enrollment (April 25 - May 13), you may add, drop or change benefits coverage. Learn more at our Open Enrollment website or visit one of several upcoming Benefits Open House events.

This month, I also want to encourage you to help UK take on our rival UofL in the 2011 Start! fitness challenge. Helping us win this challenge is easy: Simply register online and log back in to record your walking or other activities between now and June 15. Finally, please check out our Events section below, including the upcoming UK Remembers memorial this Thursday, April 21. This event provides an opportunity for us to remember UK colleagues, alumni and students we have lost in the past year.

If you have questions about anything you read in this month's newsletter, please feel free to contact me by replying to
this e-mail.

1. Register. Any UK employee and their spouse/sponsored dependent is eligible. If you have not already, register for the American Heart Association's MyStart! Online Tracker by April 22. Click here to register.

2. MOVE! The UK vs. UofL Challenge runs from April 6 to June 15, 2011. Remember: Any physical activity counts, not just walking! So get out there and dance, walk, strike a yoga pose, pump some iron - just MOVE!

3. Record it. Log in to your MyStart! Online page and save your daily physical activities in your Activity Diary. If you don't record it, it doesn't count! Do your part to help UK WIN this challenge!

4. WIN. The University with the highest average steps per participant WINS a traveling trophy and bragging rights. Those who successfully complete the challenge will receive a great prize, regardless of which University wins.
