Stuck in the office all day? Exercise!

Two prominent themes exist in our society that can both lead to serious health problems. Stress is the first potential problem and may be caused partly because people are working longer hours. Because of these longer hours, many cannot find time to exercise or prepare nutritious meals.
This lack of physical activity across America is shocking, and it shows in the serious rise in obesity. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), around 119 million adult Americans are either overweight or obese. Exercise is one simple solution that could help alleviate not only the high rate of obesity, but also help reduce stress. Hopefully the following ideas can help us all live a healthier lifestyle.
Exercising while you are at work can certainly be difficult especially if you work in an office setting. It may require a little preparation and creativity, but it is definitely possible. Alumni Gym Locker Room Renovations
It's been a long time coming, and renovations of the locker rooms inside Alumni gym are in the works! Renovations will begin in mid- May. While these renovations are underway, one of our main objectives is keep the Body Shop facility open as much as possible. However, due to the extensive renovations that will be taking place, it will be necessary to close for short bouts throughout the summer. We will do our best to disrupt your workouts as little as possible. Renovations are slated to be complete by mid-August. We will keep you updated via our Web site, Fit News, as well as our new Facebook page. During renovations, the locker rooms will be inaccessible. However, we are hoping to have alternate facility locations, of which we will inform you. Stay tuned for more information!
