Tour de France Owners to Enhance Tour of California Broadcast

Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) and AEG, owners respectively of the Tour de France and the Amgen Tour of California cycling races, have expanded their media partnership to provide unprecedented coverage of the Amgen Tour of California in 2010. The Manhattan District Attorney's office says Henry Vargas pleaded guilty Friday to attempted grand larceny and forgery. His plea deal calls for a prison term of five to 10 years. More
South Beach Tri Raises $175K for St. Jude Children's Hospital

Bend Bids to Host U.S. Mountain Bike Championships

Visit Bend CEO Doug LaPlaca has confirmed that the Oregon city's tourism arm is submitting a bid to USA Cycling to host the 2011 and 2012 Marathon Mountain Bike National Championships. "As part of Visit Bend's evolving relationship with USA Cycling, we've been working with them to establish a long-term hosting deal," LaPlaca said last week. "After we confirmed that Bend would host the 2011 and 2012 masters, we turned to mountain biking."
