May you be safe and protected and free from inner and outer harm.
May you be happy and content.
May you be healthy and whole to the fullest extent
May you know ease and well being in your life.
A friend and fellow teacher recent shared the above version of Metta (loving kindness) attributed to Thich Nhat Hanh. It has echoed inside of me for days and has been a source of comfort, compassion and courage.
May you find inspiration, joy, strength and healing in your practice. And may the studio help you on your journey.

A more challenging and faster paced Vinyasa Flow practice aimed at developing strength and stability, endurance and focus, as well as balance and mobility. Familiarity of Sun Salutations (A and B series) is recommended. Lunar/Candlelight Yin with Restoratives
Need to relax, de-stress or make time for yourself? Candlelight Yin Yoga with Restoratives is a deep, meditative and often profound practice. Infused in the longer, more passive holds is a meditative awareness of breath, mindfulness and presence. This more quiet and still practice helps to tap into intuition and deep listening.
The Yin style involves holding and exploring poses for longer periods of time in order to let go of tensions stored in the body and to calm the nervous system. . Practicing this way helps to target deeper connective tissues especially around the hips, pelvis and lower spine.
Restorative poses will be included or when necessary can be substituted for some of the Yin poses. The more restorative aspects will aid in creating calmness, deep relaxation and therapeutic support.
The class is suitable for most practitioners regardless of age, experience or familiarity with Yin or Restorative yoga. Awareness, openings and insight become skillful tools in order to help overcome obstacles and challenges in life, increase joint mobility, heal injuries and provide necessary self-care.

Olivia Brown: Bernal Om Exhibit
At the center of Olivia Brown's paintings is
an investigation into movement through the
passage of time. Acting as a cipher for
elemental forces, Brown records her own
movement on the canvas with a shellac medium, emphasizing the immediacy, vibrancy and
sharp detail of her movement. The finished
paintings create deeply layered microcosms
of swirling and shifting colors. These particular
paintings were inspired by the amazing teachers
and fellow students Brown has encountered
through practising at Bernal Yoga.
The 17-canvas Bernal-Om in the main yoga
studio seeks to reflect the harmony, movement,
softness and utter delight she has found in the
diversity of the Bernal Yoga experience.
