Wow!  God has done amazing things on our mission in the Philippines!  We are so grateful for your prayers; thank you for sending us to tell the Good News of Christ.  Our time in the Philippines began with our training conference, which was blessed with unusual power from the Holy Spirit as our team preached, sang and worshiped with 150 church leaders in the Laguna area. 

In the first days of our school programs, already more than 10,000 precious students and teachers have called upon the Name of the Lord Jesus for salvation!  Evangelist Paul Vick, my son, Steven, and I have presented the Gospel to many thousands of people; my wife, Amy, and staff member, Beka Hawkins, have sung and testified of God's overwhelming goodness and grace.  Students have been challenged to turn away from drugs, alcohol, and sexual immorality, and to "Say No To Drugs; Say Yes to Jesus!"  Young lives are being transformed by the living, active Word of God!

Tomorrow, we finish our school programs and prepare for Saturday's CityCelebration.  This evangelistic outreach event will be held at a "relocation" area near the railroad tracks of the Philippine National Railroad, and very near an infamous "garbage dump" that you have may seen on news reports, where nursing moms scrounge for food for their children...truly the poorest of the poor.  

If you have a heart for helping the poor, please join our outreach by helping us with the cost of hundreds of kilos of rice which we will be giving away to attendees at this outreach event, where the Gospel will be preached and the Name of Jesus lifted up!  Most of the people we are trying to reach in this area are victims of recent flooding from typhoons and heavy rains.  Pray with us that the activities, the music, and the preaching of the Word of God will draw people near to hear the Truth, and that hearts will be opened to receive love of the Lord Jesus.

What a joy to tell the message of hope in Christ to desperate, hurting people.  Wish you were here with us physically; thank you for being with us spiritually with your prayer and support!
