Proclaiming The Gospel of Jesus Christ To The Nations!

September 1, 2011

Dear :

Amy and I want to thank you so much for standing with us; your prayers and gifts are deeply appreciated in this time of great uncertainty with men, and complete certainty with God.  We had a great time on our project in Uganda; all of our teams are now back home.  We were blessed to reach David Stockwell - CityCelebration, Ugandamore than 20,000 people with the Good News of Christ!  Read reports below from some of our staff members about the great things God did while we were on mission.

Please pray for us as we are planning projects in Belize, Haiti, the Philippines, and several places in Africa.  God is bringing in such a great harvest in our day, and we are all so blessed to be a part of it.  In mid-September, DSEA will partner with Paul Vick Ministries to reach the people of Belize with the love of Jesus; we are so excited about this open door in a new place!

Please remember our NEST (National Evangelist Support Team) partners as they continuously and boldly go as missionaries to their regions of the world to preach the Word!  One of the great blessings of my life is to spend time with these precious brothers and sisters in Christ, and to see their passion to love God, to pray for the lost, and to preach the Gospel without compromise.  These wonderful servants, whom we have helped train and support monthly, are worthy of our prayer and support.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your participation in reaching people with the message of God's love.   I am so glad that I get to be...

Your friend, and partner in the Gospel,

A Note From David Upon Our Return From Uganda

July 27, 2011

Dear Friends,

Because of the grace of God, and your prayers, in spite of many trials and tribulations, we report with great joy that God has been moving mightily, and multitudes of precious souls have come to faith in Christ during our mission project in Uganda.  Though we had our ministry laptop stolen, faced some tough problems with our living conditions and government worker and teacher strikes, and too many attacks of the enemy to mention, God has prevailed!

Thank you for sending us and praying for us!  Our N.E.S.T. (National Evangelist Support Team) leader, Pastor Apollo did a great job preparing for our ministry, including our three-day CityCelebration in Kakooge.  We were blessed with the power of God, as Amy sang, and Paul Vick, Steven and I preached. During our Leadership Development Evangelism Conference, we were overwhelmed with the presence of God, as people under the conviction of the Holy Spirit repented and committed their lives to be consistent witnesses for Christ.

In over forty schools, our teams spoke to students, teachers and administrators about substance abuse and sexual immorality, and told the Good News of Christ. In all of our venues so far, already more than 17,000 people have heard a clear, uncompromising presentation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, and God's command for people to repent and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Please continue to pray as this project continues, and for my son, Steven, as he continues to tell the Gospel in Uganda through August 5.

Amy and I want to thank you so very much for partnering with us with your prayer and giving as we go to the nations. I am so glad that I get to be...

A Note From Steve Stockwell

On Mission in Uganda

June 28-August 4, 2011

Greetings!  It is good to be back safely in Texas!  Thank you so much once again for all the prayer, love and support for our mission to Uganda.  There were a few bumps along the way, but God is so good, and we had an amazing project!

In total, I had the privilege to share to Gospel of Jesus Christ with over 14,000 people, and more than 7,500 said they were committing to give their lives to Christ as LORD and Savior for the first time!  This includes 28 high schools, 4 middle schools, 7 elementary schools, 3 churches, and 2 crusades.  We were also able to distribute 35,000 tracts and 150 New Testaments!

Please continue to join me in prayer for the people of Uganda.  Pray that those who committed their lives to Christ will continue to seek Him and become true disciples.  Pray that God will reveal Himself to those who didn't commit, and grant them repentance leading to salvation in the near future.  And pray that the local pastors and evangelists we worked with will be able to continue discipling these people and reaching the multitudes with the Good News!  Pray that this project hasn't ended, but rather that the work of the Holy Spirit will continue in Uganda!

Youth Education Strategies (A Division of DSEA) is planning to have a busy fall and winter.  Please pray for God's wisdom, guidance, and provision as we continue to prepare for upcoming mission projects in Haiti, Belize, the Philippines, and back home in the United States.  God bless!

In Christ,

Steve Stockwell

On Mission in Uganda, May 30-August 2, 2011

August 23, 2011

Dear Friends,

Thank you for helping to send me to Africa this summer!  Words cannot express how touched I am that God allowed me this amazing opportunity.

Beka and Group of Students- Kampala, Uganda

I love these precious Ugandan children from Ekitangaala Ranch Primary School!

While working on the Ekitangaala Ranch in Uganda with our ministry partner, African Children's Mission, God opened doors for me to serve in various capacities.  While teaching music to the Elementary Five and Six classes, I was touched by how the students responded to the music.  As I walked around the ranch, tears would come to my eyes upon hearing a child sing, "Above All," or "In The Sanctuary."  I taught them the music, but God allowed the music to speak to them.  One ten-year-old boy named Caleb came up to me one day to let me know that because Jesus lives in his heart, the music makes him want to cry.  Caleb loves music more than any child I have ever met before.

Sam, student at Ekitangaala Ranch Primary School

Sam, joyfully attending our David Stockwell CityCelebration!

Our DSEA team arrived at the end of June and what a wonderful time we all had together.  We hosted our David Stockwell CityCelebration out in Kakooge town where one of my Ekitangaala students, a fifteen-year-old named Sam, rode his bike many miles to come to our DSEA CityCelebration.  That night he came forward to rededicate his life to Christ and has told me that he wants to be faithful to attend church and live his life for Christ!

We hosted twenty-six school programs, and our Victorious Life! Evangelism Training Conference for pastors, evangelists, and Christian workers in Kampala.  I was able to see my little friend, Trevor, whom I met last time I was in Uganda.  He is now six years old and what a joy it was to see his face again.

Caleb, a student at Ekitangaala Ranch Primary School

The Lord shines through Caleb, one of my students at Ekitangaala Ranch Primary School.

During the two weeks our full team was in Uganda, we spoke to over 17,000 people and saw more than 10,000 people pray to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!

I have been forever changed by the hearts of these people.  Their ability to love and their willingness to serve inspired me to do even more for God's Kingdom.  Thank you for your faithful prayers and support which made it possible for me to serve the Lord in Uganda.  Please continue to pray for our DSEA team as we prepare for upcoming missions this fall.  I am still amazed that God chooses to use me.  I will never forget my "Big Adventure" and the people who have forever changed my life!

In His Service,

 Rebekah Hawkins
