With major improvements in accommodations and amenities at the Ranch, we thought it appropriate to make a significant change in the way we present our property online. We believe the new website better represents the experience our guests enjoy when visiting our resort. If you haven't seen our website in a while, please check it out by following this link. Better yet come see us and experience what we're talking about first hand.
Sunglow Ranch again hosted Dragoon Mountain Retreat this month and it was another successful effort. Twenty-five yoga enthusiasts showed up for a long weekend of twice-daily practices, punctuated by hiking, biking, swimming, wine-tasting and fabulous meals. And last we saw, the bonfire was still going strong at 2 AM. Julie Blew and Jenn Chiarelli were the instructors and a great time was had by all. More yoga retreats are coming. Don't hesitate to give us a call or watch for announcements on the Retreats page of our website.
Thanks to the artistry of a local carpenter, our Bocce court is in full operation. Built on a solid redwood frame, two 2-inch layers of gravel are topped by a 3-inch layer of crushed oyster shells (oyster flour). The latter has been watered for two weeks and now provides the perfect surface for rolling balls with great accuracy. Indeed we recently witnessed a very close match between two seasoned aficionados played at midnight under the stars--quite a sight. If you're up a for a little friendly competition, you're likely to find someone at the ranch ready and willing to play.
We recently shot two videos. One is a 2-minute overview of a day in the life of the Ranch showing many of the new improvements. The second is a 1-minute study of our gentle but cranky goose population. The latter includes the sounds of the Ranch and a pretty awesome parade.
Although we're completely booked for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays, there's still time to reserve one of our casitas for Valentine's Day weekend. We're featuring a romantic gourmet dinner in the Sunglow Cafe. And over the first weekend of April 2011, our neighbors at Lawrence Dunham Vineyards will offer a grape to glass tour of their vineyard and winery, followed by a winemaker dinner at Sunglow Ranch featuring the latest releases. The weekend will also include a tour of the Arizona night skies with our resident astronomer and our 10-inch telescope. Please call for more information.
"Hi everyone! I just left Sunglow Ranch, and I want to let everyone to know what an AMAZING time I had. Thank you so much!"
