Please excuse our dust...
This summer, Taxiways Delta and Fox Trot, and the North Ramp will be repaved and receive taxiway lights and guidance signs. Your airplanes will enjoy new pavement on these surfaces as well as on some connecting non-movement areas. Taxiway Charlie is scheduled to receive its facelift in 2013. You will receive scheduling and closing information as the project progresses and we will do everything possible to minimize the impact on your flying. Thank you in advance for your patience as we improve your airport. |

Wings Over Waukesha 2012 to Commemorate 100 Years of Flight in Waukesha County
The Wings over Waukesha Air Show on August 25 - 26, 2012, will celebrate the centennial of flight in Waukesha County with a focus on vintage aircraft and the historic milestones in our aviation history. If you would like to fly in the air show or participate with a static display, please contact airshow@wingsoverwaukesha.com.
The air show will bring back many of the exciting aerobatic, military and vintage aircraft from last year, and we're also excited to welcome the EAA's famous B-17, the Aluminum Overcast! Many thanks to EAA for adjusting their tour schedule this year so they could be a part of Wings over Waukesha.
The website has been updated to enable you to buy tickets in advance online at a discount. The 2012 sponsorship package offers a variety of ways that you can promote your business and reach an estimated crowd of 20,000, in addition to receiving significant media exposure. Check out the 2012 Promo Video to see highlights of last year's air show.
As always, we're seeking volunteers for a variety of roles, so now is the time to join the fun and get involved! You can learn more on the volunteer page of the website. You can also stay informed about this year's air show by "liking" our Facebook page. |
Spring City Welcomes Redbird FMX Simulator
You can't help but notice the newest addition to Spring City's fleet when you enter the Waukesha County Airport Terminal Building. Right in the front window sits a brand new full motion simulator called a Redbird FMX.
With 50 degrees of pitch, 40 degrees of roll, and 60 degrees of yaw the Redbird offers a realistic flying experience. Pilots can log hours toward their private, instrument, and commercial ratings as well as complete instrument currency tests. With the option of flying a Cessna 172, Bonanza A36, or a Twin Baron instructors can adjust precipitation, wind, visibility, or relocate to thousands of locations all over the world.
The simulator can also be a cost effective option on those poor weather days at a price of just $100 per hour. Stop by the terminal or call Spring City a 262-547-8988 to book your time in the Redbird. |
