New Airport Brochures Available
We recently developed two new brochures to help promote the airport, and you can pick up copies of them in the airport terminal. One brochure is targeted toward individuals who are interested in recreational aviation, and the other is for use with those interested in flying for business purposes. You can preview both brochures on our website at the following links:

We are distributing the brochures to various Waukesha economic development organizations as well as mailing them to potential tenants in an effort to bring more people out to experience the fabulous Waukesha County Airport community and everything it has to offer.

Greetings!
It has been a busy couple of months at the airport, including a great "Networking After 5" event that we recently hosted at the terminal for the Waukesha County Business Alliance. Over 130 WCBA members attended the event to learn more about airport services and network with airport businesses, who all did a great job playing hosts to our business community. A special thanks to Paul Keppeler, Vic Stottlemyer, and Mike Woods, who took several VIPs for an unforgettable aerial experience before the event. You can check out photos of the event on We've also recently had some nice publicity, including a photo of Paul Keppeler and the County Executive from the Networking event, as well as an interview with Keith Markano about the hazards of critters on the runways, and an interview with yours truly about whether commercial aircraft could land at Waukesha County Airport. Both stories are posted in the press room on our website at:
Airport Press Room. Now that the snow has melted, our crews will be out repairing turf damage from the snow season. If your property has any damage due to snow removal operations, please fill out the maintenance request form on our website. Hope to see you all enjoying warmer weather at the airport soon!
Fly Safe,
Kurt Stanich Waukesha County Airport Operations

Remembering Harry Bigelow

We recently lost a long-time friend and fellow pilot when Harry Bigelow passed away. A pilot for over 50 years with over 11,500 hours, all of them in non-military, non-commercial aircraft. Harry was an outstanding and safe pilot who never had an accident despite several close calls with equipment malfunctions. We'll miss you, Harry!

Wings Over Waukesha 2011
Wings Over Waukesha is back for 2011 with a few new features and a later date that will likely work better for many of our active aviators to participate this year. The dates have been moved to August 26 - 28, 2011, to avoid competition with other aviation events and enable us to recruit more aircraft from around the region. We will not be featuring the B-17 this year, but instead, we're working to secure a variety of aircraft that provide rides for hire through the Commemorative Air Force chapters and other organizations. Please mark your calendars to participate this year, and contact the event planning committee at wingsoverwaukesha@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer or bring your aircraft. Sponsor packages are available, which you can learn about at:
