Flight Training Apps Releases 2nd Garmin App

 

FTA Screen ShotFlight Training Apps, a new aviation training software company formed with my partner Ant Bilsev just released our second App titled "Garmin GNS430W/530W "Set-Up & Enroute Use, SIDS & STARS" in beautiful high definition. This 50 minute app includes actual flying of RNAV SIDS and STARS including the KSAN POGGI TWO SID and the KPSP CLOWD ONE STAR. Also included is instruction on practical features such as the OBS function, proper GPS set-up, programming user waypoints, emergency use, flight plan tips, use of the 2nd map page, a challenging quiz and more make this a great companion to our first approach app.

Chris Haynes Earns CFI

Chris Haynes, proud partner in a Cirrus SR 22 decided to continue his aviation education by obtaining a Flight Instructor certificate and enrolled in the 5 day CFI Preparation program. After dedicating himself to the full time course of study over the five day period, Chris went to the check-ride and became the 10th successful CFI candidate in the past two years to pass on the first attempt through Take Flight San Diego's program.  Congratulations Chris for a significant accomplishment.  

Dick Parish Earns Instrument Rating 

   Dick Parish

 

Dick Parish earned his instrument rating July 21st in his recently acquired Cirrus SR 20.  Dick has been a pilot for many years and may hold the record for the time between getting a private certificate in 1966 and an instrument rating in 2011 - 45 years.  Better late than never and flying around in a dual Garmin SR 20, Dick can now use his airplane for reliable transportation in VFR or IFR conditions.

 

 

Brett Milke Achieves Private Certificate

Brett Milke, earned his Private certificate on July 28th after a multi-year hiatus from a previous flight school.  Brett finished up his Private training in about 25 hours and passed his checkride. Brett is a high school basketball coach and teacher and lives in San Diego.
