Changing of the Guard at ABC
On October 15th, the First Coast Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors roasted a legend, Dan Haskell. Under the witty antics of Arnold Tritt, a cast of characters, Ron Pellum, Bob Russell, Paul Hoffmann and Bruce Barcelo, provided a variety of humorous tales of Dan's tenure at ABC. From stories of his Sex & the City road trip chats to a handful of golfing jokes, the roast was the perfect start to Dan's Retirement. On behalf our firm, we want to thank Dan for his leadership and friendship. We are certain he is smoking a cigar at the 19th hole somewhere!
Filling Dan's shoes is someone ABC is delighted to have at the helm of its chapter, Karin Tucker. Karin comes to our chapter from the Port Charlottee area, where she served as Executive Officer of the Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association. Karin's past experience will be a great asset to our local chapter and we look forward to seeing all that she has in store for 2011! Welcome Karin! |

Tritt|Henderson Proudly Supports Michelle Tappouni for Jacksonville City Council At-Large Group 5
As we mentioned in our last newsletter, Tritt|Henderson is proud to support Michelle Tappouni, who is running as a Republican for Jacksonville's City Council At-Large Group 5 seat. We want to share with you the pilars to Michelle's campaign and invite you to view Michelle's Campaign website (www.votetappouni.com) for even more details.
Building Community: Building community isn't just about participating in outreach programs and connecting with your neighbors, it's about creating a synergy between the public and private sectors and instilling civic pride.
Reviving Jobs: Our City boasts an active port, thriving military community, commerce and manufacturing centers - including the emergence of Cecil Commerce Center - opportunities for eco-tourism, as well as skilled employee markets from our local colleges and universities.
Restoring Trust: At this time in our City's history, actions will speak louder than words. I am passionate about the positive effect our representatives can have on our community; we need to explore new and innovative ways to bring people into the process rather than alienating them.
Safe Neighborhoods: Neighbors make great neighborhoods, and Jacksonville is brimming with a renewed sense of community. A combination of efforts by the Sheriff and JSO, community organizations, and neighbots has had tremendous impact on the safety of our citizens. |
