Senator Sandoval fighting to alleviate student overcrowding in Cicero

Senator Martin Sandoval (at center) was present when District 99 officially broke ground for the Lincoln School addition and renovation of the existing building, at 3545 South 61st Avenue. This new addition will provide 17 new classrooms, a cafeteria, a computer lab, a new media center, and administrative offices. Now the District will be able to maintain class sizes fewer than 25 students at Lincoln and bring back students who have been attending other schools because of overcrowding. Among the guests at the groundbreaking ceremony, Cicero Town President Larry Dominick, Board President Ed Ziemba, Board Vice President Jorge Rueda, Board Secretary James Terracino; Board Members Tom Tomschin, Graciela Segura, Larry Polk, and Debbie Mikolajewski.
