Sandoval and UPS: providing jobs and education for minority students in the Chicago area

Senator Martin A. Sandoval (D-Chicago), Chairman of the Illinois Senate Transportation Committee, joined UPS (United Parcel Service) executives during a student award ceremony, while celebrating the seventh year of a partnership with Chicagoland Regional College Program (CRCP) that provides jobs and education to hundreds of youngsters in the metropolitan area.  Initiated in 2003, CRCP has been funded by state grants with matched funds from UPS benefiting around 500 high school diverse students annually: 86% minority and 45% female. Among the partner schools - Chicago State University, Morton College and Olive-Harvey College.
