Senator Sandoval and President Dominick announce the multimillion dollar resurfacing of Ogden Ave.

 


Cicero IL. Senator Martin A. Sandoval Chairman of the Illinois Senate Transportation Committee and Cicero President Larry Dominick announce the $2.7 million resurfacing project on a stretch of the legendary old Route 66. The project consists of 3.05 miles of resurfacing one of the roads in worst conditions in Cook County, U.S. Route 32 (Ogden Ave.) from Cicero to Harlem in Chicago, Berwyn and Cicero. Senator Sandoval effort was instrumental when the Legislature approved the $31 billion 5-year capital construction plan aimed at helping stabilize our local economy trough the creation of jobs. "Senator Sandoval has come through for the people of Cicero once again, this is a major achievement," said President Dominick. Senator Sandoval was a major advocate in passing a comprehensive Capital Plan during the 96th General Assembly, necessary to build new roads, bridges, schools, parks, libraries, police and fire stations as well as fixing streets throughout the state.
