The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Board of Directors presented a solemn resolution praising Senator Martin A. Sandoval, Chairman of the Illinois Senate Transportation Committee for his "extraordinary efforts and leadership" in helping approve two separate capital bills which together include $2.7 billion for capital investment in the regional mass transit system. "On behalf of the entire metropolitan region and its transit agencies, we honor and thank Senator Sandoval for his tireless efforts and we look forward to continuing to work in cooperation with him to ensure that the region has the world-class mass transit system it deserves," said Jim Reilly, Chairman of the RTA.
