Positive feelings may help protect cardiovascular health
Over the last few decades, numerous studies have shown negative states, such as depression, anger, anxiety, and hostility, to be detrimental to cardiovascular health. Long-term air pollution exposure may increase hospitalization risk
Older adults may be at increased risk of being hospitalized for lung and heart disease, stroke, and diabetes following long-term exposure to fine-particle air pollution, according to a new study by HSPH researchers. Read more

Students and other members of the HSPH community gathered recently to watch a global simulcast from Berlin sponsored by TEDx, an offshoot of the popular TED Conferences, on April 5. Afterwards, alumna Meghna Chakrabarti, SM '01, co-host of Radio Boston on WBUR, led an HSPH panel in a discussion of the themes raised by the speakers. Read more
